IMIM VPN Setup Instructions

 

Download the VPN client from www.lim.com/download/imim/cisco.zip and save in a temporary location.

Extract the cisco.zip file.  Upon unzipping the file you will have a cisco directory.

 

Run vpnclient_setup.exe found within the cisco directory.

 

This will start the installation program.  Select “Next”.

 

Select “Yes” to accept the license agreement.

 

Select “Next” to accept the program path (it’s usually best to take the default).

 

Select “Next” to continue the installation.

 

You may see one or more screens like this.  If so, select “Yes”.

 

When the installation is complete you will see this window.  Select “Finish” to reboot.

 

If you have been given a .pcf file when you got your IMIM account click here, otherwise click here.

 

If you haven’t been given a pcf file then you are in our default group, for which a file has already
been included with your installation. Once the machine has rebooted, run the VPN client. 

 

The VPN client is under Start -> Programs -> Cisco Systems VPN Client -> VPN Client

 

Double click IMIM (highlighted below).

 

Enter your username and password then select “OK”.  You may save it for subsequent connections.

 

Once connected there will be a padlock icon in your system try.  You may right click on the padlock and
select disconnect to disconnect from the LIM network.

 

If you have a .pcf file note that all your connection information is saved within the file. 
Copy the file to the following directory:

   C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\VPN Client\profiles

 

As shown below (My File.pcf).

 

Run the VPN Client located under Start -> Programs -> Cisco Systems VPN Client -> VPN Client

 

Then double click on the file name you were given.

 

Once connected there will be a padlock icon in your system try.  You may right click on it and select
disconnect to disconnect from the LIM network.
