Chart Configuration

In the Chart Configuration window (select Options>Chart Configuration to open) you can define the color, line thickness and symbols for your chart. Working in the Chart Configuration tab will make changes to your chart view. Working in the Color Print tab will affect how the chart prints.

By default, MIMIC displays a chart in color. MIMIC assigns default color palettes for the chart viewed as part of the application and for printing in color. MIMIC also assigns default grayscale palettes for printing in black and white. MIMIC sets the palettes for the Background, Foreground, Trendline, Average, and for each symbol. Symbols are represented as Data1, Data2, etc. For example, the first symbol you have in the Worksheet (in row 'A') is represented as Data1, the second symbol you have (in row 'B') is represented as Data2, and so on.

To change a palette, click the color you want to change, the Pick a Color window appears where you can select a new palette. To change the line thickness increase or decrease the number in the Thickness field. To change the symbol for a data series, click in the Symbol field and choose a symbol from the drop-down menu.

Choose Load Defaults to return to the original defaults that were loaded with MIMIC. Select Save As Defaults to keep the settings saved for the next time MIMIC is restarted. Select OK to keep the setting for the current MIMIC session. Select Cancel to close the window without keeping any changes.
