Using Weekly or Yearly Prices

Synopsis

Objectives

  1. Using weekly time units.

  2. Using monthly average time units.

  3. Introducing execution units.

Market Brief

Longer period charts, such as weekly or monthly, can provide extremely important perspectives. Where daily charts are commonly used to ‘time the market’ or determine the timing of a trade, weekly or monthly charts can be used to provide a comprehensive perspective on the long-term trend of the market.

MIMIC allows you to create longer period charts. To create a weekly or monthly chart, you must change the time units for the series and the execution units or the frequency of display in the Configuration window.
