Defining the Formula

  1. The formula required to create the chart for this lesson is the one-month correlation of the series added in rows 'A' and 'B'. To add this formula, select the Add Row button from the toolbar.

  2. In the Data Builder, select the Formula tab.

  3. In the Formula field, enter 1 month correlation of A and B.

When entering formulas, you must enter a space between a symbol identifier and an operator.

Next, in the Description field, enter Correlation.

The formulas are included in the online help, accessible from the MIMIC application (select Help>MIMIC Help from the menu bar). See the "Formula Table" chapter in the MIMIC User Guide.
